Welcome to the new Colonial Construction Concrete Precast Company's E-newsletter.
An affiliated company, Colonial Concrete Company, LLC, has acquired the assets of Colonial Ready Mix, to deliver concrete, steel and other building products throughout the Sarasota / Charlotte County region.
The new companies are wholly owned by Gravitas, LLC, headquartered in Sarasota, Florida, which through the acquisition rescued over 60 jobs within the former companies.
C3P, LLC and Colonial Concrete Company, LLC will have John Bauer as the new Chief Executive Officer. "We are excited about the opportunities before us and are evaluating acquisitions in related industries that will expand our product lines and service offerings to our customers. We are beginning to see the signs of an economic recovery. With no debt and a strong backer, we are positioned to expand and grow as our competitors struggle." Bauer is a Certified Public Accountant and former Chief Financial Officer of the Diocese of Venice.
Victor Mellor, previous president of Colonial Construction Company, has assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer for the new companies. "Gravitas, LLC has created a tremendous opportunity to provide the necessary capital to move forward in these challenging economic times. I look forward to working with existing customers and the prospect of meeting new ones. This acquisition has been a blessing for all of the 60 plus employees of the 'old Colonial' and their families."
Throughout the process of changes at Colonial Construction, the company has been working on projects without pause. Patrician Arms in Tampa has been steadily supplied with product and the installation process progressed without interruption.
Richard Bingham the Project Manager with Paul Sierra Construction for Patrician Arms stated: "We have been very happy with the product and service C3P has provided. Although going through a reorganization during our construction they have seamlessly met schedule and are preparing to make our final fourth floor set next week. They have performed brilliantly."

Colonial Construction, Concrete, Precast, LLC Commences Operations -
The Placida, FL. February 8, 2011: Colonial Construction, Concrete, Precast, LLC (C3P, LLC) has closed on its acquisition of the assets of Colonial Construction Company. This new company has a changed corporate structure, and offers a stronger financial position and quality production at competitive prices. With hollow core plants in southwest Florida and central Georgia, C3P, LLC is prepared to become the premier manufacturer and installer of Precast and Pre-stress concrete products for the residential, commercial and institutional construction market in the southeast United States.
